How To Drive A Manual Uphill

Driving a manual car uphill from a complete stop by making use of the emergency brake is one of the hardest things to master.

For manual car driving learners, most of them (maybe you) would struggle with ordinary, flat roads and cause the car to stall.

This is made even harder if you are on an incline slope uphill. You need to have a good balance on the gas pedal and clutch before releasing the emergency brake.

Getting a good driving instructor is important.. Contact TriStarke Services LLP to find out how you can get your private driving instructor in Singapore.

Checking Blind Spots

Checking your blind spots when driving is extremely important.

The first time I learnt driving, I did not understand nor could I see how there is such a thing as a blind spot. I thought I could see everything I needed to check in either the rear view mirror or the side view mirror.

However, there was once where my side view and rear view mirror showed nothing and this motor vehicle just zoomed past me!

That was when I learnt the importance of actually turning my head and checking for blind spots to drive safely.

If you need to pass your driving test in Singapore, then check out http://sglearntodrive.com/ and get paired up to the most suitable driving instructor for you!

How To Drive A Stick Shift Car

If you need a manual transmission private driving instructor in Singapore, click here.

Most people probably are not as confident with a stick shift car - a manual transmission car.

Thus I am sharing this video with you so that hopefully it will help you better understand manual gear shifting and coordination.

I understand this video tutorial is that of a left hand drive, but the basic principles are exactly the same.

If you want to watch more driving tips videos, then check out this YouTube channel.

Bay Parking Tutorial

Parallel parking is usually the harder type of parking.

Most people feel that learning to park in the bay is simple - however, the problem arises when there are cars to both your left and right.

Most people then get nervous and tend to park horribly. Don't make that mistake by first getting your fundamentals right - by learning how to park properly and confidently.

The video above is a tutorial video for a right-hand car drive bay parking, just like that in Singapore.

If you have passed your basic theory test (BTT) and final theory test (FTT), then make sure to find the right driving instructor in Singapore to pass your Traffic Police practical test on the first try!

For most people, even safe driving on the roads is easier, and parking is more difficult due to the close proximity of the surrounding cars or 'obstacles'.

How To Parallel Park

Parallel parking is one of the hardest driving maneuvers, even for experienced drivers.

However, there will definitely be occasions where perpendicular parking is not available, and thus you will have to parallel park (possibly between two cars). This is when most people get nervous about hitting the bumpers of the front car and the back car.

To make things worse, the distance between the cars actually look much nearer than it really is, and thus making people even more nervous again.

Therefore, I have found the above video, which has helped many others, and should also help you pass your traffic police test in Singapore!

How To Change Lanes Safely

The teacher above inside the YouTube video gives a lot of clear instructions on how to change or filter lanes safely when you are driving a car.

There are several blind spots you have to be careful about when changing lanes, and you must always take care whenever doing a driving maneuver.

If you have not gotten your driving licence in Singapore yet, then find your driving instructor here: http://sglearntodrive.com/

Driving Manual Tips

Driving Manual Tips

The above is a really good instructional and interactive driving instructions video for people who want to learn manual (also known as 'stick' shift).

Generally, driving manual transmission cars is more difficult than driving an automatic transmission car, but if you want a little challenge, and possibly want to drive sports cars in future, learning stick shift will be a great idea!

Besides, it sounds more impressive when you say that you learn manual versus automatic transmission.

If you need to look for private driving instructors teaching manual, then you can simply go down to Ubi, Bukit Batok (BBDC) or Woodlands (SSDC). There are many instructors teaching and waiting around that spot!
